While I haven't been including archival tracks, "Soul Searchin'" and "You're Still A Mystery" were released during the time period in question, on Made in California, so I'm including them here.
Voting is open!

My selections are going to lean heavily on TWGMTR, but to be fair, I am voting for a couple songs from that abomination known as SIP. Only a couple. And the two Don Was tracks.

I'll have to think about this a little bit as I rate SiP a little higher than most. I also haven't listened to most of the S&S tracks in quite a while.

It's harder to pick ten here...

In some kind of order:
1. Summer's Gone - It's an all-timer for me. I think it should've been a single or gotten some airplay/a video/more recognition. Maybe THE best later BW vocal performance. Very effective. This song has it all.
2. Spring Vacation - I love this song. It IS The Beach Boys. It shoulda been the lead-off single. They blew it.
3. Pacific Coast Highway - Spectacular. Because it's so short it is short-changed. This is a deep song and perfectly performed.
4. From There To Back Again - A great all-around song even if it is a little fragmented in places.
5. Lahaina Aloha - Carl saves the album with this song and specifically his vocal. If only he had better material to work with...
6. Isn't It Time - Good song but I think it's slightly overrated. I'm still mad that Brian didn't sing the high part(s).
I just wanted to have a fun album, hear the guys in 1996, rock a little bit, and enjoy myself...and with Star & Stripes I did! Hell yeah it's flawed and a quasi-Beach Boys' album, but it has some merit:
7. The Warmth Of The Sun - This shows how powerful the album could've been.
8. Caroline, No - Great version; a surprising tag featuring ol' Brian.
9. Don't Worry Baby - A very good cover and an emotional display of the guys' harmonies in 1996 (Carl stands out).
10. Long Tall Texan - I don't care what anyone says, this is a well-produced, rockin', fun cover and one of the better songs on the album!

I could've very easily just picked ten of the 12 tracks from TWGMTR. But, I do enjoy Lahaina Aloha and Forever '92 enough to give them the nod over the somewhat fat middle section of the TWGMTR album. I also considered the title track to SIP, but I much, much prefer the live version from 1995 that was released on the MiC box.

I could've very easily just picked ten of the 12 tracks from TWGMTR. I haven't really thought out my picks yet, but this is along the lines of my first thoughts. My list will almost certainly be very heavy on TWGMTR.

Carl's vocal alone (one of the best of his career) gives it merit. And, I also considered "Summer In Paradise". I think it's a good song - yes, a good song - and Mike's vocal is excellent.

My list will almost certainly be very heavy on TWGMTR. I did want to give SIP a little credit. Plus, the more I thought about it, the more I thought "do I enjoy Shelter or Daybreak Over the Ocean better than Lahaina Aloha or Forever '92" and the answer was an enthusiastic....eh, probably not. Early voting, but I'm a little surprised From There to Back Again isn't unanimous.

I think Forever '92 gets a bad rap. I like the arrangement. It's by far the best sounding song on SIP.

That's one of the five best songs on this list, imo (though I'm saying that without looking at the tunes). I'm positive I like it more than anything on either SIP or the country covers nonsense.

I like the chorus on Shelter, but overall, it's not a favorite of mine on TWGMTR. That said, I really don't think any song on that album to be particularly weak. On the flip side, I really don't find anything on Stars and Stripes to be particularly strong, definitely not strong enough to crack a top ten

I voted for the four songs on TWGMTT that hadn't had one yet, plus Junior Brown's "409", Stamos's "Forever" and "R(WITS)"...

I voted for the four songs on TWGMTT that hadn't had one yet Is that because you happened to like those otherwise ignored four the best (and didn't like any of the ones that had votes), or just because you felt bad for them going without any votes?
