As you know, the Twins and Orioles are in the midst of the third game of a 3-game series right now. The Twins lost both of the first two and are 6-10 right now. THE SKY IS FALLING among Twins fans. What a different a couple of weeks make. The Twins are now 14-13 and have won 7 straight games. They're averaging more than 8 runs scored in those 7 games, including 27 in the past two. However, between the NFL draft and the Wolves' playoff success, the positive turn hasn't really gotten that much attention.

For reasons that can't really be explained, there was a lot of doom and gloom from the Orioles faithful when we were 16-8, heading into a home series against the soon to be wandering Athletics.
But, unfortunately, Craig Kimbrel, who was a fan target from the say he was signed (again, for reasons I don't really understand, the guy's a future HOFer) blew two saves over the weekend, and the Orioles lost the series two games to one. Kimbrel left yesterday's loss with an injury, so his status is TBD as the Yankees come to town.

Well, the Twins are at least temporarily not available for regional Comcast cable subscribers due to a dispute with the trash network that carries them and several other local teams, Bally Sports Network.
I've complained many, many times about how hard it has been to get BSN, with it not available via numerous cable companies and streaming packages, and now this is just one more. The issue has to do with a business fees dispute between BSN and Comcast, complicated because BSN is in bankruptcy.
BSN has been terrible for local sports fans. It's because of them that I've barely seen the Timberwolves over the past few years after being a religious viewer throughout their history. Now Twins fans--just as the team is really surging!--are feeling it too.

Now Twins fans--just as the team is really surging!--are feeling it too. We have similar issues in Baltimore with our regional network MASN. It's really only available if you have cable or satellite. It's only available on one streaming service - DirecTV Stream, which I have. They also had a dispute with Baltimore's lone cable provider, but it was resolved prior to Opening Day. There's speculation that new Orioles ownership might explore other options that'll make it easier for Orioles fans to actually watch the team, at least when they're not on Peacock or Apple +.

Bally Sport Ohio has a one year extension with the Reds following bankruptcy, but it seems 2025 is in limbo. I've heard rumblings of Amazon Prime, with some kind of cable simulcast. Not looking forward to potentially have to pick up another subscription.
