Non-album tracks, so I'll post 'em here.

Thanks so much for posting these, B.E. I wasn't aware these videos existed. While I wish they were all about 10x as long, it's fun hearing each little recollection (and when we're lucky, piano parts).

This was Brian right around the recording of The Beach Boys Love You:

That's a big part of why I love the music of Brian D. Wilson. The chords are so dense, the changes are so simple, the progressions are so cool.

He plays and sings a bit of "Saturday Morning In The City". Not a song I care much for, but I really enjoyed this. Actually, it kind of reminded me of the humorous side of Smile (in a good way). I'm starting to think that he just never quite got this one right in the studio, nor had a proper home for it. He plays and sings well here. I like it.

A lot of neat footage from the now departed Bob Hanes:

Thanks for posting, TCK! I clicked and then saw how long it is! While it meant I won't watch now, I've saved it for later and look forward to watching. I'm sure I'll return to chime in with comments later.

I watched much of that video last night. (I did skip some of the photo/video shoot stuff.) Mostly it just made me sad.

No matter how many times I see pictures and videos of Brian during the second Landy era, I am still amazed at the physical transformation. I still find it hard to believe how Brian "bought into it" (and didn't feign fatigue, exhaustion, illness, or just flat out refuse to do it), and actually pulled it off and didn't die from a stroke or heart attack (after what he put his body through the previous 15 years). I mean, Brian was a 42-48 year-old man and he transformed his entire physical appearance. I know this isn't the thread to explore Landy's tactics including bullying and brainwashing, but the end physical result was amazing regardless.

An interview with Brian from 1976. It's hard to find words to describe it...

Quite a strong cup of coffee he drank before the interview...
