With voting closed, a few comments. Some of these have been mentioned or hinted at, some not. But now they're final.
"Angel Come Home" being the most selected is a slight surprise to me (with 9 votes; "Good Timin" and "Lady Lynda" were next with 8 apiece). What would I have expected? "Good Timin," probably would have been my best guess. "Lady Lynda" would have been up there. So it's not that this is a CRAZY result, but "ACH" seems like one of those tunes that has slowly climbed the ladder, long after its release. I think Dennis's and Carl's reputations have both grown significantly over the past 20 years, so that must have something to do with it. The renewed acceptance of smooth, polished 70s/80s yacht rock sounding pop must have something to do with it. And I wonder whether Adam Marsland's tour/album of that music didn't help within the community, too. But I'm sure that 20 years ago, "Angel Come Home" would not have won, even among serious fans.
What goes up must come down? Well...
"My Diane" received just 4 votes, which is fewer than half of those aforementioned three. In fact, it is 9th out of 23! That is somewhat shocking, as in my first half-decade or more of fandom, it was generally talked about as one of the few remotely redeemable songs off these two albums. People talked about it as an underappreciated masterpiece sitting amongst the trash. And now it isn't even just that it trails modest hits like "Good Timin" and "Lady Lynda," or the slow-simmering cool gem "Angel Come Home," but fucking "Pitter Patter" (6 votes)! Now, I voted for "Pitter Patter" (and did not vote for "My Diane," actually), but that doesn't mean I expected to get much company in that camp. But here is "My Diane," tied with the previously panned or ignored "Full Sail."
Those are the two that surprised me a little, though I admit those trends around those songs have been a long time coming. It's really fun watching reputations or receptions of songs change over time. I'm looking forward to the day when "Speed Turtle" gets its due.

That movie used to always be on late at night on some local channel, but I always fell asleep before it really got going. I made it through the opening credits.
