I hadn't heard of these cards. Pretty cool. Thanks to Giggens for sharing his collection.

I like to collect 45’s. I also have a 301 Surfin/Luau. Lost a bid on an X this weekend, but I’m in a budget that I blew on that Dennis Wilson “Sound of Free”. No regrets about that one. The vinyl is in amazing condition and I love the songs on that 45. If I ever see another one for bid, I’m bidding again. I want one of every version. My dream is the French release with the picture sleeve photo shot by Ricci Martin. Would love to have a split color vinyl of Barbie as well. Got the “Ten Little Indians” because that sleeve is such an iconic Beach Boys picture and Carl looks so cute. Sort of why I bought “When I Grow Up” as well. Had to get that EP because wow - the best of Pet Sounds.

Awesome - You have the pink label “Barbie”! You gotta love any sleeve that has the boys with a surfboard and Pendleton shirts! I’d love to have them all! Such cool artwork on that “Heroes & Villians” sleeve. I didn’t know that was a Brother Records release. Thanks for sharing Sheriff!

If it’s the same cookie jar that I have, the music is not by the BBs. It’s a cover version with Jeff Foskett, among others. (My cookie jar was a gift from friends.)

Now I have to dig it out and play it again. I thought it was The Beach Boys' original version of "Surfin' Safari", and, yes, it actually plays a couple of surfing songs.
carllove, I picked up the cookie jar I think at a Walmart or Kmart for about $15.00.

I found the cookie jar on eBay! It’s from 2001. Looks like it plays “Catch A Wave”, “Surfin USA” and “Surfin Safari”.

kds mentioned in the shoutbox that Star & Stripes is the only studio album that he never acquired. That got me wondering - what about the rest of us? And, specifically, I'm curious to know how many of us have a physical copy of Summer in Paradise. I'll be honest, I never really considered it 'til now - I never bothered to look for it at a record store. But, come to think of it, I'd actually like to pick up a copy. I think it's one of those items that's probably more interesting to collect than listen to. Personally, I don't really identify as collector, but I do have a bit of a collector/completist streak. And between what I inherited and what I acquired myself over the years, I have a fairly large Beatles/Beach Boys collection (mostly vinyl, CDs, books, and some DVDs). It might be fun to use this thread as a catch-all. From specific topics like, "who's got a physical copy of Summer in Paradise?", to posting lists of our entire collections! To answer my own question - At the moment, Summer in Paradise and Stars & Stripes are the only two studio albums I haven't acquired. I have most on CD, a few on vinyl, and some are digital-only (most importantly, one way or the other they all end up on my iPod). To be honest, I suppose I didn't want those two albums in my collection, but as I stated above - I think it's time to start looking for Summer in Paradise. As for Stars & Stripes...nah. I don't consider that a proper studio album. It's more a compilation. And I'm not that much of a completist! (At least, not yet.)

I do own a copy of SIP. I think I paid $20 on eBay for it. But, even though I consider myself a completist in terms of studio albums, I have never been motivated to buy S&S.
I also own just about all of the studio albums from Brian, Mike, Carl, Dennis, and Al. The exceptions are Looking Back with Love, which has never been officially released on CD, 12 Sides of Summer, and Long Promised Road.

I'm not really a collector of memorabilia. I have all the original CDs except SC, SiP, and S&S (though I have the DVD of the latter); I've got a lot of the comps, including (I believe) all the box sets; and I've got a few albums (C&TP, Love You, In Concert, I think a few others) more for artwork than anything, since I don't have a record player. But that's really it, aside from books. No clothes, ticket stubs, tour programs, surfboards, autographs, action figures, or special edition Sunkist cans.

CDs, and both of those albums came in DigiPacks, those cardboard cases instead of jewel cases.

I do have a program from C50, as well as shirts from C50 and PetSounds50.
I have a few BB autographs too. I have a copy of NPP signed by Brian, and a Love and Mercy BluRay signed by Brian and Melinda. I got those at a signing in Tyson's Corner. I have a BW setlist signed by Blonde, that I got him to sign outside of a BW concert. I got Al to sign Postcard and Friend & Family Live at his Storyteller shows. And, I have signed copies of Mike and Brian's books. I think Mike's came from a bookshop where he did a signing, and Brian's from his website.
