LOL, whoops. That's what you get for not taking your time! I guess on the positive side, I can now remove one of those and slip in "My Melancholy Blues" at 75!
(Though I'm also worried now that I meant to write in something else that I now omitted entirely. In fact, it MIGHT have been "You're My Best Friend," which I had accidentally omitted entirely and only noticed just before posting. I know I slipped that one in a little lower, but it had been under consideration as high as around #5.)

Interesting to see no one else included "Pain Is So Close To Pleasure" or "Get Down, Make Love"...

Interesting to see no one else included "Pain Is So Close To Pleasure" or "Get Down, Make Love"... I actually dislike "Get Down, Make Love," to be honest. Especially the middle sound effects section. The actual song part is meh for me. Bottom 10% of Queen songs, maybe.
I think "Pain Is So Close to Pleasure" is fine. Still on the low end. I think it's very generic.

Interesting to see no one else included "Pain Is So Close To Pleasure" or "Get Down, Make Love"... Despite the fact that it became a live favorite, I think Get Down Make Love is my least favorite Queen song from the 70s. I think it just plods, and goes nowhere. Then, there's that middle section Kap already mentioned. I think Pain is So Close to Pleasure is alright, but probably in the bottom half of the Kind of Magic album for me.

I was thinking that since it's been a while here, we might want to toss out another band/artist for lists? Two that came to my mind were Led Zeppelin and Paul Simon/S&G. Zeppelin doesn't have a TON of material--a quick googling says only 108 songs!--but so many were good, I'd guess a lot of people could muster a Top 15, 20, 25. Simon/S&G has a lot more, but I'm not sure how popular he is around here.
Any thoughts?

Good call, Cap'n. My knowledge of Led Zep's music is more restricted than that of PS/S&G but really, either is fine with me.

I have a casual knowledge of S&G, even less so with Paul Simon. So, my vote would go to Led Zeppelin here.

Also, since summer's around the corner, don't be surprised if I post a Top 25-50 for Mr. Jimmy Buffett.
(I'm OK if we move on to the next artist fairly quickly).

I could do a Top 25 for Led Zeppelin and a Top 10 for Simon & Garfunkel.

OK, let's call it: up next for list-making is Led Zeppelin. Chime in with your top 10, 20, 108, or whatever!

I've got a busy morning (and probably afternoon) ahead, but I'll be commenting on these lists and posting my own later. Maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow. Rest assured, the captain is coming!
