Welcome aboard. Little Bird was so so so close to making my list. I love that song. Thank You! I’ve been lurking a long time! Little Bird is a Little Gem! That song makes me happy! I'm kicking myself for not going to see the Great in '68 Tour in Philly (after a 90 mile drive for me) for a rare chance to hear it live.

That's another tour I skipped. I skipped the 2013 Wilson / Beck Tour mostly for lack of funds.

I was able to see them do "Little Bird" with Marks on vocals at this 2013 . That show had a great setlist. In addition to "Little Bird," it had "Girl Don't Tell Me," "Cotton Fields," "That's Why God Made the Radio," "Your Imagination," "Summer's Gone," "California," and more.

One thing that stood out to me that night, both Probyn and Scott clearly thought a different song was up next when the band went into "God Only Knows," as Scott's keyboard wasn't at the right setting, and Probyn wasn't ready to play his French horn part. You can see them both near the top left of this video, right at the beginning, frustrated as they try to switch.
Yet afterward, both press and other fans talked about it as the best "God Only Knows" they'd heard, flawless, etc. I always thought that while Brian did sing it pretty sweetly, that was a bit of an exaggeration (not to mention ignored the obvious blunder at the beginning).

That's a better setlist than the one I skipped in DC (at least according to Setlist.Fm). They did no TWGMTR material at that show. I think I saw Brian do Cotton Fields on the first leg of the NPP Tour. I know it was in the set at the C50 show I attended.

I remember the last time I saw Al, after Matt sang GOK, Jeff Ross said "that's the best live version of God Only Knows you'll hear at any BB related show" (or something to that effect). I have to wonder if that comment had anything to do with Jeff not going out with Al and Matt on the next leg.

It was the most relaxed I've seen Brian from start to finish of a show, aside from maybe the second BWPS show I saw (the U.S. kickoff, here in Mpls). Otherwise he has been more distant/nervous the whole time, for one set or another, etc.
It was obvious to me how much Al helped with his nerves. I think just knowing he'd only have to sing leads on about half the songs, in addition to not having to carry emcee duties, made a big difference for him.

I would pay to see the David Marks performance of Little Bird! That is really nice! Thanks for the video! Does Carl sing “Where’s my pretty bird” or is that still Dennis? Either way the vocals are so lovely - and the cello. I used to play cello.

Top 10 lists usually drive me crazy. I could end up sitting here for an hour or more running through all of the songs in my mind trying to narrow it down, so I'm going to kind of wing it here. 1. Good Vibrations 2. Do It Again 3. The Night Was So Young 4. All I Wanna Do 5. Surf's Up 6. From There to Back Again 7. Breakaway (alternate preferably) 8. It's Ok 9. Til I Die 10. Kokomo I enjoy Kokomo. Carl’s voice is so lovely in that song. No hate here! Very brave of you. It might be my #20 post Pet Sounds song.

According to a list I found elsewhere it's Dennis, with Carl taking over for the "What a day..." section and Brian handling the last verses and the tag, with Dennis. Lucky you -- the cello is a beautiful instrument. It has at least three great moments in BB music: here, in "Old Master Painter/You Are My Sunshine" and in "GV". There may be more... Its finest hour anywhere? In my book it's the Elgar concerto.

Sorry, Sheriff, I should have left it for you to answer. Time zones will be the undoing of me!
