Well, I'm disappointed. Whenever I see these dates added to Mike & Bruce's and Brian's touring schedule, I just have to sigh. While I appreciate what Mike & Bruce's shows have to offer, they don't excite me like they used to. Same with Brian. There's very little about Brian's solo...career...that I really look forward to anymore. I'm still a Beach Boys' fan, though, and that's what I was holding out hope for - a Beach Boys' tour. Oh, I wasn't expecting anything the magnitude of 2012 with 75+ dates, but I was hoping for some kind of a summer/fall reunion tour. Now, things are really pushed back.
Yeah, obviously the guys can't pull it together for whatever reason(s), and I find that sad - sad that Mike and Bruce and Brian would prefer to tour with the same old setups, rather than reuniting with their old family, friends, and bandmates. But, I guess that's the reality. That's not what Beach Boys' fans want. The 2012 reunion proved that. And, I don't think general music fans want that either. They would feel good to have a reunited Beach Boys and would come out to see a reunited band in 2022. It's funny (well, not really) but the one factor about a 60th Reunion that worried me the most was the health and stamina of the guys. If all of these added dates is any indication, I guess that's not really a concern...for now anyway.
Yes, there's still time to do "something". Whatever. Why do I think that, even though they've had ample time to produce something, it'll be rushed and the necessary time and care will not be devoted to working out all the kinks. Hey, speaking of the Kinks, now that's another band I'd like to see do some kind of reunion. People are saying Ray is in poor health. I don't know how long it's been since he's toured. Dave's had some health scares, too. I think they just waited too long.

As they did when I saw them in December 2018, they included a mix of songs from the BB Christmas album as well as a couple from Mike's 2018 Christmas album. The prices were sky high, but I was actually tempted to buy a shirts they were selling with the BB Christmas album cover.

Wasn't quite sure where to put this, but the Beach Boys are trending on twitter for this tweet: I had to go to Twitter and add my two cents. Funny, since I just watched Get Back. I was surprised I had a log in.

I don't know much about Twitter, but it does seem that "hot takes" get shared and posted a ton.
I love both bands, but if I were a Twitterer, my vote would go to the Fabs.

I have to say it was a hard decision, as the first album I purchased with my allowance money was a Beatles album. I have been a Beatles fan since 1970 or so, but since discovering The Beach Boys in 2015, they have been my favorite. Have to say it was a hard choice, especially since I just watched Get Back. Dang - it reminded me why I loved the Beatles in the first place. Abbey Road is still my second favorite album ever after Pet Sounds.
