There were more than two, though, for NPP. Weren't there? Or am I insane? I want to say at least three.
Basic album.
Bonus tracks (Don't Worry, Somewhere Quiet, I'm Feeling Sad).
Bonus tracks and more bonus tracks (Love & Mercy, In the Back of My Mind).
Not sure what permutations of those there were (e.g. 1, 1+2, 1+2+3, 1+3), but there were at least 1, 1+2, and 1+2+3.

While there were no extras, the vinyl version has a different order of songs as well.

Kapitan, yeah, there were three. But, I don't think those deluxe version tracks ("Don't Worry", "Somewhere Quiet", and "I'm Feeling Sad) were considered bonus tracks. My main point is that there were two main versions of the album. The standard and deluxe versions. Personally, I bought the Target exclusive. It clearly labels "Love And Mercy" and "In The Back Of My Mind" as bonus tracks, but not the others. Beyond that, I don't think there were any other stores or markets with other bonus tracks. The Cincinnati Kid, that's interesting, and messy. Vinyl's been a mess since the CD hit the scene.

For the fun of it, we should do a poll of the 13 favorite No Pier Pressure songs and see what happens! The Cincinnati Kid?

Allow me a quick catch up post, I've been neglecting the Beach Boys! And, I hadn't noticed that there's a poll in this thread. Sorry. (My preference in bold.)
"That's Not Me" or "Here Today"
"Do It Again" or "It's OK"
The Beach Boys Today! or Summer Days (And Summer Nights!!)
Brian Wilson or No Pier Pressure
Huh, I sense a pattern...

Difficult.
I like BW88, including the production. And I like NPP, though I make sure I end it with "Saturday Night". The three "extra tracks" are fine--it's the closer and the two utterly redundant bonus tracks I can't listen to without wincing.
Maybe the fact that I don't listen to all NPP tips the scales in favour of BW88. I'm fortunate to have the original 1988 release--my local record-lending library has first editions of everything--so I get to hear the definitive version of "Melt Away" with its gorgeous vocal harmonies.

This Beautiful Day Whatever Happened On the Island Half Moon Bay Our Special Love The Right Time Don't Worry Somewhere Quiet I'm Feeling Sad Tell Me Why Sail Away One Kind of Love Saturday Night That would be my pick. I really can't think of any examples of two different versions of an album being released like NPP was. It sort of reminds me of the early days of DVDs, when a new movie was released, they'd release an "unrated" cut and theatrical cut.

The only difference is you chose "On The Island" and I chose "The Last Song". For some reason, I'm surprised we both chose "Our Special Love". But, the/Brian's vocals are so darn good on that song! Anyway, this is my 13-track version of No Pier Pressure:
Brian Wilson - No Pier Pressure (2015)
Side 1 1. The Right Time 2. Sail Away 3. One Kind Of Love 4. Half Moon Bay 5. Our Special Love 6. Don't Worry
Side 2 1. This Beautiful Day 3. I'm Feeling Sad 3. Tell Me Why 4. Whatever Happened 5. Somewhere Quiet 6. Saturday Night 7. The Last Song
That's a darn good album! Clocks in at 41:25. Side 2 is almost all Brian, but Nate Ruess is great on "Saturday Night". No Pier Pressure deserved a better fate. Hard to believe it's five years old already.

To me, Our Special Love is worth saving if just for the opening harmonies. Plus, like you said, Brian's vocals are really good on it. I think NPP was marketing fairly poorly. You bring in all of these contemporary guests, including Nate Ruess whose voice graced several big hits with fun and a duet with Pink, and the lead single is The Right Time? I didn't really understand the strategy of bringing in younger artists if you're not going to push those songs.

Just added my vote to the pile for NPP. I don't really have anything different to say from what has been posted above. I do think a remake of BW88 in the style of NPP would give NPP a run for it's money though.

I do think a remake of BW88 in the style of NPP would give NPP a run for it's money though. In the mid 00s, that was my fantasy for 88 and Imagination both. (Heck, even the recent GIOMH.) Do them with mostly organic instrumentation, less 80s cheese (88), less adult contemporary cheese (Imagination) and less BW out-of-tune vocals (GIOMH). The group's background vocals and more timeless production choices really could have made huge differences with each album.

We're back! While thinking about the upcoming (or not) boxset, I started thinking about the albums it represents. For me Sunflower is one of the most underrated albums in music history (although I think it appears on the Rolling Stone 500 greatest albums list). I feel like any number of songs could have or should have been a big hit in 1970 under different circumstances. In reality, it never even made it into the top 100 selling albums. Surf's Up, on the other hand, is slightly over rated in my view. I think it's stature was greatly helped by the Rolling Stone article and the fact it was titled Surf's Up, confusing some fans, while others bought it to hear the long awaited song. The album overall is pretty uneven to me with three or four songs I have little to no interest in.
Sunflower for me.

Surf's Up for me, and it's not particularly close.
For me, Sunflower has one great song: This Whole World. It has some good songs, esp. Add Some Music and All I Wanna Do. After that for me is a major dropoff to things like Deirdre and Our Sweet Love. Then come things like Forever, At My Window, Cool Cool Water, which are interesting-to-meh range. (I don't like the Dennis rockers much at all, and am hot and cold on Tears in the Morning.) I'd have used several other songs of the era instead of several of these, including Cottonfields, Soulful Old Man Sunshine, Susie Cincinnati, Good Time...
Surfs Up has higher highs with the title track especially but also Til I Die, and I prefer almost everything else on the album to much of Sunflower.

I think Sunflower is a little more consistent, and had you asked this as recently as a year ago, I'd not even hesitate to vote Sunflower. I still think it's a strong album, but over the years, I've cool, cooled slightly on it. Part of the reason for me is the closer, Cool Cool Water, which I think is pretty weak once you get past the vocal intro. Where as Surf's Up's title track offers perhaps the best album closer in the catalog.
As Kap says, the highs on Surf's Up are higher. So, even though Sunflower doesn't really have any clunkers on the same level as Take a Load Off Your Feet (which to its credit, is mercifully short), I'm going with Surf's Up.
