Interesting. I wonder these two things most:
1) Will he actually sing anything start to finish, or just little snippets of this and that? 2) Will he have anyone else musically supporting him instrumentally, vocally, or both?

My first thought was snippets but who knows? Most of Brian's songs aren't that long to perform in their entirety. I think his choices might have to do with his playing the piano, too. That's a lot of playing to do, more than he does in concert.
I'll predict "no" to supporting musicians. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think this segment will be a big production. If he does want assistance, I know a couple of friends and relatives who aren't doing much at this time.

It would be kind of cute if he had his band members all playing and streaming in from their locations to support him. I liked what I heard (and saw) in that clip though! He looks well.

Yeah, he looked relaxed and sounded pretty good. If his performance is adequate, I'd rather it just be him playing piano and singing.
Is he going to perform complete songs? I think it depends on the planned format of the show (and, again, his performance), but I bet we'll get a verse and chorus or two of a half dozen songs or so. As long as it resembles what we heard in the clip, I'm sure to enjoy it.

I feel the same way. Hoping it is a good little performance: I think honestly it could lift a lot of spirits!

Has anyone watched this yet? Perhaps it's my turn to be technologically inept, but I downloaded the IGTV app (after I figured out what IGTV was) and I've found the RollingStone channel. I can watch the video but can't get any sound to come out of it, no matter what I do to my phone. Anyone else experiencing this?

Just checking it at RollingStone.com (because I don't have IGTV, and also had no idea what it was), and it seems to be embedded in the main story that previously previewed it. Sound seems fine there (once you unmute it).
Nice awkwardly read intro, Brian!

Thanks, Kapitan!
Oh my heart, that was wonderful. And yeah, his read-out intro was amusing. Also.... nice shorts, Brian!

lol, I hadn't noticed the shorts. He borrowed them from Bruce. Apparently Brian likes to be casual and colorful at home:
Water, water, water, water, water...

I got a ticket for one of his upcoming concerts in Japan, but I'm not very sure this tour is going to happen at all, especially as the US government recently asked its citizens to refrain from traveling abroad.

I've been thinking about you and your (hopefully) upcoming show, Wata. If it's safe, I hope it happens. But we're really just entering the period of real "shelter in place" (as they're calling it) across the US, so I don't know.

If Brian's "people" are still thinking about making these Japan shows go ahead, they are crazy. He is 77.
