Poking around aimlessly in a vaguely BB-related corner of cyberspace I found this fascinating page largely devoted to '70s BB touring/studio musician Carli Muñoz. Among its smattering of interesting pictures is this cool one of Bruce and Carli at a concert grand with, behind them, Mike seemingly in the act of photobombing them... most curious!

There's some interesting commentary and stories from Carli. For one, he wasn't totally happy with the way Bambu eventually came out.

An 18 year-old Brian and a 19 year-old Mike at the 1959 Love Family Christmas party. Mike's sister, Maureen, is second from the right. They really dressed up for that event, didn't they: That stands out whenever I see pictures from roughly the mid-60s or earlier: people were dressed up far, far more than they are now for seemingly casual events. Men almost always in shirts and ties, often with jackets. Women dressed and made up. Some people think that would be better even today, but honestly it sounds torturous to me (not to mention too hot!).
EDIT - And yes, I realize my opinion here feeds into many Europeans' common belief that Americans are too casual, and/or just slobs. Sorry (not sorry)!

Here's a little quiz! The photo below isn't that clear, but can you name who is sitting in the beach chair wearing beads, and who is pictured at the far left wearing the pocket T-shirt? Hint: Neither one is a Beach Boy.

Guessing here: VDP on the beach chair and Terry Melcher on our left...

However, the main reason for posting the photo is that elusive guy on the left. And, it is not Scott McKenzie.

Crosby? (For the record, I don't think it looks like him, but he's in that scene and it would be timely. So it's a strategic guess.)
