Oooff -- difficult. I could only choose eight, six from Surf's Up ("LPR", "DG(1957)", "FF", "LAT(AWS)" "ADITLOAT" and "TID") plus "Sail On, Sailor" and "Leaving This Town". Interestingly perhaps, two of my picks, "Feel Flows" and "Leaving This Town", are the only two BB songs that have at their centre an extended instrumental workout unrelated to the rest of the song... Serious question: Have you not heard Carl and the Passions - So Tough? Or any of the tracks separately? Some great tracks on there, IMO.

I like "Marcella" and "All This Is That" but not enough to include them in my ten.

As big of a fan as I am of the song "Only With You", that seems like an unexpectedly high placement.

As big of a fan as I am of the song "Only With You", that seems like an unexpectedly high placement. It does, doesn't it? Ahead of "Marcella," "All This is That," "California," and "Feel Flows," among others? Very surprising. That said, I like it quite a bit. It's the rare Dennis Wilson ballad that's somewhat understated. I think in the twofer liner notes, it is suggested this ought to be a wedding-song regular. I agree, it is that kind of song. It's also almost classic-feeling in its simple, diatonic melody of skips and steps. It feels like an etude built on a nursery rhyme or folk song.
