Brian Wilson's Facebook page just posted that Jeffrey Foskett has passed away.

Even having known he was ill for years and assuming the day would come, the news shocks me. Jeff was a fantastic performer, a great singer, and by all accounts a tremendous help to Brian Wilson in addition to his musical duties. Just 67 years old.
Rest in peace to a key contributor to the Beach Boys live shows through the years, as well as one of the people who made Brian Wilson's solo career as a touring artist possible.

Just saw this. I knew he was unwell, but didn't realize his condition was that bad. Perhaps the most important person in the band outside of the core members. Really sad to hear it.

Oh, no...just terrible news. I hadn't heard a lot about Jeff recently. Obviously he was unable to sing but I guess I assumed his health was OK otherwise. Only 67...too young...puts things, puts the season in perspective.
My thoughts and memories of Jeff Foskett are positive ones. I will always think of him as having the best "Brian voice" on stage and on record. I often thought he was the best friend Brian Wilson ever had. Jeff also had a distinctive speaking voice and did a great job with the band introductions. And, on That's Why God Made The Radio, Jeff's voice was very prominent, almost as if he was a core Beach Boy.
R.I.P. Jeffrey Foskett, and thank you for the music.

I am broken-hearted. I've lost two good BB fan friends recently, this just compounds things.
Jeff was the guy who called to tell me Carl had passed, so I wouldn't have to hear it from the news channels first. He was such a great friend to the fans, and he did a lot for us, because he was a fan himself. Such a big-hearted guy, such a beautiful voice, such a loss for us. Surely he's jamming with Billy, Carl, and Dennis tonight.

It hurts me just as a fan who saw him a half dozen or so times live, many times on video, and of course heard him on those albums. But I didn't know him at all as a person. You have my sincere sympathies.

My favorite vocal performance from Jeffrey.

I always liked his version of "Everything I Need," which I think is far, far superior to what the Wilsons released. (That one was Joe Thomas'd to death.)

American Songwriter posted an obituary about Jeff, which is mostly the same information we've already seen, but adding some words from Mike Love's social posts. And Parade posted a story focused on Stamos's reaction. (It was Jeff who introduced Stamos to the band.)

Such a shock. I was privileged to see Jeff through the years with both Brian and The Beach Boys. He seemed like such a nice guy. He was Brian’s rock for many years. I don’t think we have Brian’s second act without him. He had a great voice and was a marvelous musician. He will be missed
