Hello friends, please join us tonight as we welcome author Chuck Granata who wrote the book “Wouldn’t it be nice: Brian Wilson and the making of The Beach Boys Pet Sounds”. I read it recently and it is an interesting read. We will also talk about BB news and talk about the Grammy salute. Hope to see you there at 8 EST on Facebook or YouTube!

Hi Matt. I'll be watching later in the week -- time zones!!
Yes, a brilliant book! Curiously, my copy (from 2003) is called I Just Wasn't Made for These Times: Brian Wilson and the Making of Pet Sounds, with no mention on the cover (which has the same picture of Brian) of the included "Foreword by Tony Asher".
Interesting that the "revised edition" should take the title of Brian's Landified "autobiography" of 1992 (another great read by the way!). It's almost as if that book is being erased from history.
I'm curious to see whether Chuck will allude to the change of title. I'm also curious to see whether his connection with Frank Sinatra will crop up in the conversation!

I'm curious to see whether Chuck will allude to the change of title. I'm also curious to see whether his connection with Frank Sinatra will crop up in the conversation! Yes, and yes! Well, Matt alluded to the change of title (thank you, sir!). Basically, if I understood Chuck's explanation, the earlier UK version had "IJWMFTT" and the later US version "WIBN", adding "the Beach Boys" to the title. And The Voice got plenty of coverage, including the similarities between his fastidious way of working and Brian's. One thing that flummoxed me was the identity of the second guest, a certain Scott. Anyone here watch and know who he was? At one point I thought it was Scott Totten, as the live chat mentioned him, but it didn't look anything like him!
