How 'bout my guy Rashod Bateman? He looked great last night. It's taken four seasons, but I think we're finally seeing the guy we hoped we were getting back in 2021.

I think there were five former Gophers in that game last night: Baltimore's Bateman and OL Daniel Faalele; and Tampa Bay's Antoine Winfield Jr, Ko Kieft, and RB Bucky Irving (who started at MN before transferring to Oregon). It's fun seeing so many more Gophers making the NFL in the past five years or so. There used to be seasons where there'd be just a couple in the entire league, and I think we must be around 15-20 this year.

The Vikings have a game tonight. I don't like Thursday night football to begin with, but especially when it's my team playing! Just on principle, I don't think having games four days apart makes any sense whatsoever. Recuperation, rehab, game planning, practice, and travel across the country in four days? Come on... I know, the NFL "prioritizes the health and well being of its players" or whatever. Sure.

We get to play on four days rest again on Christmas night, because the NFL has decided Christmas games will be an annual thing, regardless of what night of the week Christmas falls (Wednesday this year).
