I have heard about the performance that Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga did, and am blown away seeing it on TV tonight. Amazing! Reminds me of the last performances of Glen Campbell. Both could still sing, and the fact that Alzheimer’s had taken most of their memories, yet they could still perform so well, is mind blowing. Thoroughly enjoying it.

I watched it. I was sitting there bawling like a baby. So inspirational seeing Tony persevering and doing what he lived to do...singing and performing. Song after song. Hitting the notes, phrasing, gesturing, smiling, remembering the lyrics. And then at the end, seeing Lady Gaga escort Tony off the stage to a standing ovation and thunderous applause. People were waving and crying and saying goodbye. Tony was acknowledging the crowd and waving back. The huge smile on his face. Unbelievable. I had my doubts when I read about this event being planned, but Tony pulled it off. What a legend. An American institution. And he went out on top. One last time. Thank you, Tony.
