I like this part. There should be more stories like this.

I like this part. There should be more stories like this. Ditto. Or asking to be photographed as he drops a glob of pasta down into his mouth (or onto his face). Brian is a funny guy sometimes, and it is definitely underrated. Those stories--not "oooh, he's CRAZY" stories, but just stories about his humor--are great.

Yeah, my unfinished thought from earlier was that if we were allowed to see more glimpses of present-day Brian acting like, well, Brian, there might be less worrying and fussing over whether he's enjoying himself or is being forced to perform, and so on. I feel like the only side we get to see are interviews and onstage - two platforms where he's typically deer-in-the-headlights. Maybe that upcoming documentary will shed some more light on this.

I'm really looking forward to the documentary. But honestly I don't put a lot of stock in it to shed any light on big-picture reality. Anything that he is cooperating with and authorizing is bound to be a PR piece. I mean, I have enjoyed all the documentaries of his solo career--the Smile one, the TLOS one, the various EPKs video clips--but some of them are really an awkward combo of fawning over him and clearly scripted drama.
