The FX TV version of What We Do in the Shadows is well into its second season. I think it's easily the funniest comedy on TV right now.
The show is an Office style mockumentary about four centuries old vampires who share a house in Staten Island.
In the episode that aired this Wednesday, one of the vampires finds out that a song he'd written in the late 1800s had been lifted, and retitled "Come On Eileen." So, he and his wife decide to revive their musical partnership and play an open mic night. It's not going too well, until they play a seafaring tune they wrote in 1792
"Aruba, Jamaica, oh I wanna take Ya......"
As they sing the song, the crowd sings along, prompting Lazlo, the male vampire, to ask "How do they know the words?"

You beat me to it! I love What We Do in the Shadows! Caught that episode last night, and was not expecting that. Such a hilarious show. I will watch anything starring Matt Berry or that Jemaine Clement had something to do with.

I had no idea it existed until the TV show aired last year.

It's so rare for a spin off TV show to be just as good as the movie, especially with a different cast.

It's very rare that my wife and I sit and watch a movie together, but with a short run time, and the fact that our DVR is all but clear, I think we can pull it off.

I watched this episode (and the show) for the first time over the weekend. I enjoyed it, but my girlfriend didn't seem particularly thrilled.

What We Do in the Shadows just started its fourth season last week.
Episode 3, which aired on Tuesday night, included what I feel like was a pretty obvious Brian Wilson / Eugene Landy storyline.
In the show, a vampire rapper named Richie Suck is supposed to perform the opening of Nadia's (one of the primary cast) nightclub, but cancels at the last second. When Nadia goes to confront Suck, she's met by Dr. Tom, who now controls Richie's career. Nadia offers Richie a bag of virgin blood to come to the club. Dr. Tom takes the blood saying "You're not hungry" to which Richie replies "I'm kinda hungry." The scene was somewhat similar to the hamburger scene from Love and Mercy.
