Hw could I forget Kim Weston's "Take Me In Your Arms (Rock Me A Little While)"? It's one of my all-time favourite Motown tracks--the less-is-more instrumental break is one of my all-time favourite musical moments, period. The lyrics seem to be celebrating a relationship that has ended rather than mourning its demise. Truly wonderful stuff.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Take_Me_in_Your_Arms_(Rock_Me_a_Little_While)I first became familiar with "Take Me In Your Arms (Rock Me A Little While)" via the Doobie Brothers hit version in 1975. I had no idea - for years actually - that it was first a Kim Weston/Motown song.

Was just listening to a Motown comp and "Bernadette" came on - an underrated Four Tops' classic! And, Levi Stubbs doesn't get the credit he deserves as one of the great lead vocalists.

Love the Tops. Duke is still going strong, bless him.

Diana Ross left The Supremes in 1970, but the group continued with Jean Terrell replacing Ross on lead vocals. The Supremes continued to have hit singles including "Up The Ladder To The Roof" (#10), "Stoned Love" (#7), "Nathan Jones" (#16), and "Floy Joy" (#16).
