Crosby? (For the record, I don't think it looks like him, but he's in that scene and it would be timely. So it's a strategic guess.) It is not David Crosby, but, as I think about it, this person has some connections with both Scott McKenzie and David Crosby. And, he actually was kind of a precursor to The Monkees...in some ways.

Here's a little quiz! The photo below isn't that clear, but can you name who is sitting in the beach chair wearing beads, and who is pictured at the far left wearing the pocket T-shirt? Hint: Neither one is a Beach Boy.
It's not comedian Jackie Curtiss by any chance?

No, it is not comedian Jackie Curtiss. Here is another hint - another photo from roughly the same time frame. Actually, it looks like he's wearing the same shirt:

This isn't easy! If I lived in the US I'd probably know straight away. Give me a little more time...

Are those The King Sisters with their hair down in those days? In what case the bloke might be Cam Clarke. These are just wild guesses, of course...

It's as easy as 1, 2, 3... Now that makes me think of Mary Poppins... Nah, it can't be Dick Van Dyke! Still, he had a beard in the 1969 film Some Kind of Nut.

I appreciate it. It's this guy...with his partner, Dean, and his then-girlfriend, Jill Gibson, who was briefly in The Mamas & The Papas. The above photos were post-1966 accident.

Aww. I came across Jan on my travels... and decided it wasn't him. I couldn't find a picture that came close enough. Well, it was great fun anyway -- thanks, Sheriff!

Ah! Year ago a J&D fanatic sent me a CD-ROM of everything they ever did, in mono and stereo. I'm on the lookout for a home for it -- it's wasted on me. I have enough on my hands with Brian and the Boys!
