On vinyl I have Little Deuce Coupe, Summer Days and Summer Nights, Pet Sounds, CATP, Smiley Smile, Friends, Wild Honey, Sunshine Daydream and Brian Wilson Long Promised Road. I listen to them all the way through on my two manual turntables - one in my bedroom and one in the office in my house.
I have Pet Sounds, the Friends - 20/20 two fer, the Sunflower - Surf’s Up Two fer, the GV anniversary boxset, Feel Flows, the new SOS three CD set, The Beach Boys Classics: Selected by Brian Wilson, KTSA, and the Pacific Ocean Blue Legacy Edition, on CD. I listen to those in my car, and do skip around here and there.
I have a cassette of The Beach Boys Rarities in my car. I definitely fast forward a bunch there.
Everything else I stream to Bluetooth speakers through Apple Music. Lots of skips there.
A rare few items like SIP that aren’t on Apple Music, I listen to on You Tube. That is for informational purposes for polls and such. I do have a home theater system with multiple speakers on my TV, but only listen to that stuff on a need to know basis.

I've got a stack next to me right now with the new BB set, new Springsteen album, Tom Petty's recent live Fillmore set (2-disc version), and the 2-disc RevolverNice!

Another note - I never liked Smiley Smile until I heard the green label vinyl version. It’s just effing amazing. It’s not even like the same album I heard streaming. Smiley Smile is meant to be heard on vinyl - and on the green label vinyl. It’s an experience. A wonderful experience. I blame streaming services for my initial hatred of Smiley Smile. Not sure why it is so much better on vinyl - but believe me - it is. I think the stereo release of Smiley Smile, along with the stereo release of Wild Honey, were pretty revelatory.

I agree, though I feel more that way about the latter than the former.

I have all the original albums on vinyl, except SIP and S&S. I have cassettes of those two. When I sit down to listen to an album, I listen all the way through. If I am listening in my car, I will usually just pick up where I left off (CD or cassette), but sometimes I pick out the ones that grab me the most. Lately, I'm mostly listening to Sail on Sailor and Feel Flows (2 disc versions); also dug up Sunshine Tomorrow recently. I had Reason For the Season on recently, too. I still make mix tapes and cd's. My favorite one was when put all my favorite songs from Smiley through 20/20 together. That list looked something like: Heroes and Villains Vegetables Little Pad Good Vibrations With Me Tonight Wonderful Whistle In Aren't You Glad I Was Made to Love Her Country Air Darlin' I'd Love Just Once to See You Here Comes the Night Let the Wind Blow Meant For You Friends Wake the World Passing By Do it Again I Can Hear Music I Went to Sleep Time to Get Alone Our Prayer Cabinessence

I don't know what it is, but for some reason, I always have enjoyed late 60s and early 70s mix tapes/discs/playlists more than anything else! I rarely have done pre-Pet Sounds mixes, and while I've done later ones, they never stuck. But something like 67-68, 67-69, 69-71, or whatever in that range always turn out to me endlessly fascinating. Maybe it's that I rarely really felt those albums were quite right, despite thinking there was a ton of great material around. (Whereas earlier albums were often pretty great as-is, and later ones often had less good stuff around.)

Group 1: Surfer Girl All Summer Long Christmas Album Today! Summer Days (and Summer Nights!) Pet Sounds Smile Sunflower MIU BB85 TWGMTR
Group 2: Everything else
I was trying to think of how to rank the albums, but the reality is, I'm either listening to my current favorites playlist or I'm listening to a specific album with playing the whole thing in mind. Group one is the only group where I do the full album "regularly."

Obviously I mean no offense--a person can enjoy whatever s/he enjoys!--but for me, the idea of regularly listening to those two albums straight through would feel like punishment. Was I a bad boy? Can't I just sit in the corner instead?

And maybe it's that we have countless comps of the Endless Summer years, and not much that is limited just to 67-69, 67-71, etc.
