Drew Rosenhaus is severing ties with Antonio Brown until he gets counseling.
And, Odell Bekham, Jr. was arrested for - I can't make this stuff up - slapping a male security guard's buttocks after the LSU-Clemson game. Good luck, Kevin Stefanski.

And caused numerous players to violate NCAA rules by handing out cash in the locker room. WTF...

For the first time in 17 years, I really have no rooting interest in the AFC Championship. The Ravens aren't in it, having missed a huge chance to host it, and the Steelers, Patriots, or Colts aren't in it to root against.

For me it's the same as the past years ... or decades. Once my team is out, since the late '90s, I don't really have real preferences. And as the years go on, I have less and less interest. I don't watch even the conference championships or (get ready!) the Super Bowl, even, if my team isn't there.

The NFL is easily my favorite postseason, so I'll be tuned in. But, at least I can take some solace that there's no chance of a team I hate winning it all.

Do you wanna buy a ticket to the Super Bowl? Do you have $16,000? OK, OK. I'll sell you one of the cheap seats. Do you have $5,200?

I say in all honest, you’d have to pay me the $5200 to attend.

Chiefs / 49ers. Should be a good game. Its surprising that KC hasn't been to a SB in FIFTY years.

Gary Kubiak is the new Vikings' OC:
That's a great fit for a QB like Cousins. Joe Flacco has his been regular season in 2014, the lone year Kubiak was the Ravens' OC.

That was certainly the expectation around here of what was going to happen. Honestly, while Stefanski was seen as a rising star already, Zimmer clearly was much more comfortable all along with Kubiak, which is why he brought him in to oversee things to begin with. There was even a sneaky suspicion all along that he was a coordinator-in-waiting. I don't think that was quite true ... but it was telling that they brought him in and gave him such a high position in the organization simultaneously to hiring Stefanski.
It might spell the end for Stefon Diggs, who has been unhappy basically since they installed that offense. And after all his drops, outbursts, and drama, I say good riddance. (Though there's no denying he's a very talented and sometimes very productive receiver, especially on deep balls.)

Super Bowl prediction time - just for the fun of it.
KC 34 SF 24
I think the key to the game is SF getting to Mahomes. Houston and Tennessee didn't, and Mahomes was able to roll out to the left, then roll out to the right, look around the field, and almost pick out a target. Those Chiefs' receivers were wide open. I also would like to see how Mahomes holds up after he's "punched in the nose". KC's offensive line has been the biggest surprise to me.
I also am curious if SF can continue its effective running game. KC was able to somewhat shut down Houston's and Tennessee's running game (including Derrick Henry). I don't think SF wants to put the game in Jimmy G's hands.

The only time I saw either team was against the Vikings: San Francisco won by 17, while Kansas City by only 3 ... but Kansas City was without Patrick Mahomes that day. Kind of a big absence. So I don't have any reasonable basis for my pick. Time to dive into the insanity of my mind.
In favor of San Francisco: Kyle Shanahan was born in Minneapolis, as his father was then the offensive coordinator of the Gophers run-and-shoot team under Joe Salem; defensive assistant Chris Kiffin is the son of former Viking and Vikings defensive coach (and DC) Monte Kiffin; but I have no strong feelings for or against any of their players.
In favor of Kansas City: Patrick Mahomes is the son of former Minnesota Twins pitcher Pat Mahomes; starting linebacker Damien Wilson is a former Minnesota Gopher; defensive end Terrell Suggs was born in Minneapolis and lived here through eighth grade (he was a youth league teammate of Joe Mauer ... not bad! He is also the uncle of current Minnesota superstar basketball player and Gonzaga commit Jalen Suggs); running backs coach Eric Bienemy had that role for the Vikings for a few years; wide receivers coach Greg Lewis spent a year as a wide receiver with the Vikings.
Is that really my criteria? Just looking for local references?
Well, since I didn't really follow either team...yeah.
Chiefs 31, 49ers 27

A few days late, but SB LIV was a very entertaining end to the NFL's 100th season. Congrats KC.
And apparently (per the interwebs) Shakira and Jennifer Lopez have corrupted our youth....or something. (Remember when rock and roll was the "dangerous" genre?)
