As for “All I Wanna Do” I ranked it at #77, so I pretty much agree with SJS and Kapitan’s commentary today.

It's probably the most Beach Boys sounding song on the CATP album if that makes any sense. I think, had I made my list about five years ago, I'd have included it, but I've found myself listening to it less in recent years. My feelings for "Marcella" have waxed and waned. It used to be the easy #1 standout on CATP for me, but right now it's probably middle of the pack of those eight songs. That said, considering the fluctuation (based in large part on my mood, or just feeling like hearing something different for a while) of my opinions, it could easily be back near or at the top some other time.
I do think that it's the most traditional Beach Boys sounding song, even though it isn't very traditionally Beach Boys sounding, on that album. And it feels a bit more polished than several others on that album.
My go to CATP song has pretty much been All This is That. Although, in recent years, my appreciation for Hold On Dear Brother has increased a lot.

I might be a little bullish on All I Wanna Do, but I think it's an amazing BB song.

I didn't feel the need to include ALL the hits; this was just off the top of my head. And I thought of a couple more I would add: Livin' with a Heartache Funky Pretty Darlin' (live version from 73)

Fans seem to like, well, almost every song on Carl And The Passions - So Tough. The album does clock in at 34:12, but with only eight songs. I have to think if they could've added one, or even better, two more quality songs, it would've elevated the status of the album significantly. It had so much going for it.

I rank CATP pretty high just as it is - largely because the quality of the tracks are consistently strong and at 34 minutes it’s just about the perfect album length (IMO). Edit: If you want to substitute “Here She Comes” with a better, and shorter, song…I’m listening.

I'm right in the middle on CATP. I like the running time of the album, though I wish a few of the songs had been edited down and then joined by another one or two.
My hypothetical revision to that one--I forget, did we do that as a group? I think we did--was to keep all eight songs but just add in one more song ("Sweet and Bitter"). Once we get Sail on Sailor or whatever they were calling this next archival release, I might have a different opinion as to what to add or switch around. Can't wait!

Actually, "Here She Comes" might be my favorite Fataar/Chaplin song, which admittedly isn't saying much. I would've opened the Carl And The Passions album with it.

That would've been risky: 5+ minute track that--for good reason--sounds nothing like the Beach Boys. (Not that I'm dismissing it, I'm just saying...)
