David's cheeky. Nice.π
Listening to different songs with the fave twins is sheer fun. Highlighted reactions, with various facial expressions, dancing, commentary, air drumming/guitarring.
1st time hearing it. Bono's voice is, as usual, fantastic. Do anybody add it to "lengthy road trip" playlist? I didn't listen to music whilst driving, this really gives "U.S. film character with car driving thru empty road" picture. It & Creedence-covered "Cotton Fields".
Righteous Brothers' least-appreciated song. To these ears it's stellar.
Indecisive towards lead singer's vocals. Cool guitars & drums. 'preciate it.
Jolly catchy, if little cliched.

A fantastic start to a fantastic album. As for "Soul And Inspiration", it was the RBs' first 45 after leaving Uncle Phil and I thought it sounded great! And like "Lovin' Feelin'" it went straight to #1 in the US. I used to own that one. It's true, it hasn't endured as well as "YLTLF" and "Unchained Melody". Pity.

Something compelled me to put on Talk Talk mastermind Mark Hollis's 1998 self-titled solo album this evening (perhaps I just wanted to hear it). "Watershed", the second track, is typical of the resigned, introspective mood of the album as a whole, whose colourful palette of acoustic instruments is applied sparingly. This is for a good friend who had to say goodbye to their dear pet yesterday: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Hollis_(album)

I just stumbled across this late 2020 release of a cover of Bruce Springsteen's "Blinded By the Light" (a hit for Manfred Mann). It's by Cult Stars From Mars, a band I am not familiar with, but for this song anyway featuring Mike Portnoy, Jeff Scott Soto, and a certain keyboardist-vocalist I think you'll recognize.

Hey, I know that face! Great to see Darian's keeping himself busy in these shitty times. Nice version too. Good call, Cap'n.

Pity.Glad you agree.π Knew I's right.β Today youtube twins shared Black Keys reaction, joining powers with Amazon's Rediscover feature (playlists with new bands & artists). I listened to 2 songs by it, this is song 3. The best yet - nice whistle start, really cool beats, typically like the echo/radio effect vocals. Besides, it's positivity song. Literally cheers you up immediately. They listened as well to Toto's "Hold The Line" (really cute & funny they said "too - too"). Their songs leave this listener, to be frank, icily cold. Didn't meet yet song by this band that can be described "wow, it's cool".

Heheh, liked previous reply. Next - listened to linked video with fave homegirl India. Jolly bizarre to hear white human being rapping. As well as it's 100% outta place. When she didn't start doing it, it's been decent ditty. She can't even rap. Pedestrian, amateur'y at best. Difficult to believe Blondie is "1st female rapper" (as per youtube people). Big difference between it & "1st successful rap" (Billboard chart-topper, is it?). Bottom line: White peeps CAN'T rap. Btw, this is edit. Don't care about the "edit" bit appearing in the end, ain't sure what's the big problem. I like it, it's cool.βπ Aww. How about Macklemore? Eminem? Beastie Boys? There are worse things, of course, but I like to keep my posts looking tidy. That said, the big advantage of BBT is that there's no time limit on editing posts. You can edit a post months later if you need to.

Haha. Nice joke. Beastie Boys is trash. Compare Eminem with black rap singers - blacks rap 1000 times better. There's bars, there's flow, rhyming, besides black voices sound better with hip-hop/ rap. Fave feature in BBT: orange color. Best-best color.ππ Cool song, "Message In Bottle". Twins cheer you up everytime. Such funny boys. Huge fan, like them a lot LOT. Especially Tim (twin with durag) who is jolly expressive, extroverted, enthusiastic. & cuuute as button. Fun fact: Sting actually gave shout-out to twins' reaction (see vid) at Jimmy Fallon. Sting told Jimmy he seen it several times & enjoyed it! You can tell why. AND The Police band official page replied to the link. They been acknowledged by many artists they reacted to. Happy towards these boys, they bring joy. They put smile to faces, it's fun to hear new songs with sweet twin pair. Been Lucy fan, now twins' fan. Such swift switch.

Twins got shout-out by lotsa major artists. To tell few... Dolly seen their reaction to "Jolene" & liked them a lot. Alicia Keys is friends with Twins in Instagram. Cool, ain't it? π They 200% deserve itβπͺ
I seriously dislike Lynyrd Skynyrd. But since I like twins (BEST music reaction channel), decided to check bands they react to that I dislike. I said b4 "Free Bird" began like typical dullfest, then it switched to entirely different song. Song within song. I ain't gonna lie, it's really good surprise. But the best thing about it is this twin's reaction - just look at his air-playing instruments, dancing (he even did shimmy shake), pure joy. He gets you to like the song even when you don't. Review he gave in the end when song's thru is such well-spoken conclusion to the reaction.

Really nice waltzy song, new to these ears, didn't hear such artist "Eddie Holman". Believe it's 60s-70s? Couldn't be 80s-90s. Twin really likes singer's voice (it's good indeed, high-pitched unique) & smart review as usual.

I listened to the wonderful Mountain Goats album We Shall All Be Healed recently and was reminded how good it is. It has a strange combination of beautiful melodies, simple but effective arrangements, and remarkable lyrics. Here is one song from it that I like very much, "Your Belgian Things."

Jonathan King's finest hour as a producer was in 1971-72 when he scored a string of UK hits within a matter of a few months. I was never a fan of Mr King's music but I greatly admired his creative drive. This is from his autobiography. At this early point in his career (1962-63) he had just elbowed his way into a group called the Bumblies: "I thought in gimmicks. I wore thigh-length leather boots and elbow-length black gloves and I pranced about like Super Fairy, or, as it was meant to be, like Mike Love of the Beach Boys." From that aforementioned productive period, these are The Weathermen with a cover of The Four Tops' "It's The Same Old Song" -- watercolours, if you like, to the original's oils. The violin, cello and pedal steel intro is most effective. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonathan_King

The arrangement is wonderful! I'm fiddling with something at the moment (and failing, I ought to note), so hearing something entirely unexpected, unfamiliar, and ye so obviously perfect is really inspiring.

This time last year, I was reviewing Floyd's catalog in the Pink Floyd thread, so I was pretty immersed in their music.
On a PM, Bellbottoms told me "this is winter music." By David Gilmour's beard, she's kinda right. So, I've been back on a kick of listening to Floyd and Gilmour's solo material.
