I also got the booster and was pretty darn sick for a day and half. Really? I got my booster just over a week ago (last Tuesday, I believe it was), and had nothing but a sore arm, just like was the case for my two initial shots.
While I didn't want to get really sick, I have to admit I kind-of wanted to feel bad enough to take off work for a day... But no dice.

On that (LONG!) podcast, I recommend treating it like background radio. I can't pretend I sat there listening attentively the whole time, either. I was just working, with it on. Sometimes it caught my attention in particular, other times I'm sure I missed plenty.
One thing I could not help but notice was how aggravated Harris was about certain dis- or misinformation being spread "by famous podcasters," etc. I think it is clear he meant people like some of those he has previously been grouped with, Joe Rogan and Bret Weinstein. I cut Rogan a lot of slack, because he's just a guy. A comedian, an MMA announcer, etc. He's not a scientist, and he has always been open to insane topics and perspectives: it's entertainment, not science. That's our job as listeners to discern. He SHOULD be able to host relative lunatics and let them say what they want to say, but who the hell cares what Joe Rogan thinks about vaccines, for example?
Weinstein is different. He's an evolutionary biologist with a Ph.D., and you expect more from someone in that situation. His perspective over the past couple years went from curious and skeptical to what I'd call conspiracy-theory crazy. (Endlessly talking about the risks of the vaccines, which seem minimal; and the benefits of dubious treatments like [famously] Ivermectin, which seems wildly inflated at best.) So I get where Harris would be upset about that.
When I finally hunker down to work, I have stuff to do that I have been avoiding because I'm actually going to have to use my brain to do some root cause analysis. Nothing I hate like root cause analysis and the damn fishbone diagrams. There is a special place in hell who first ever came up with the concept! So anyway - I am not going to be doing the usual work where I can sign some stuff or make a spreadsheet and enter some data. Gotta turn the brain on today!

Yeah, I was surprised as all I had after the initial doses was a sore arm as well.

I’m surrounded. A client I interacted with last week tested positive. I got tested (negative) so I thought I was safe for Christmas, but then a coworker tested positive in the office. And while I haven’t been in the office, that means I’m back at the client location today and tomorrow. I also got the booster and was pretty darn sick for a day and half. Terrible timing! My daughter told me yesterday that her roommate was COVID positive - and my daughter gets into town on Christmas Day! She was kind of livid, because the roommate was visiting family and knew she was positive and came back to the apartment anyway, instead of staying with her family, from which she caught the virus. My daughter has had her booster, but I am going to test her before we leave to see my parent's on Sunday.

The booster just left me feeling fatigued for a day, and a sore arm for a day or two.
Well worth it considering how hard is it to just get into a clinic right now.

Well, most of my co-workers have now tested positive. This is getting crazy. (I think I'm in the clear, though, for now...)

I got the booster shot yesterday and feel like crap today. I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon (annual checkup) so I gotta force myself to get out and around.

We had a small breakout at work the week before Christmas. I mostly stay in my office all day, and haven't received anything from any contact tracers, so I'm assuming I'm fine.

I guess one of the advantages of working in Healthcare, is that most of my Coworkers already had COVID last year. Since we all had to get the vaccine and they also have natural immunity as well, I haven’t had any coworkers in the 5 hospitals I cover, come down with COVID this go around. I still haven’t had it. I am one of the few that hasn’t. I also don’t have any patient contact. I stopped wearing a mask outside of work as soon as they dropped the mandates. Just trying to figure out where to get the booster though, since they aren’t offering it in a mass event through the hospital, like they did the vaccine. None of our convenient care locations are offering it, so I have to make a family practice appointment. I might just have to get one outside of the system. I just don’t want to do it midweek, because I felt awful after getting both vaccine doses.

I got my booster shot on Monday. Felt fine the next day aside from a slight headache on and off. I'm now 3/3 in feeling just fine after getting the vaccine. Hopefully there won't be a need for a fourth, although I've heard it will be mixed in with the flu vaccine in the future. I still haven't had any symptoms either, and neither have my parents.

I just don’t want to do it midweek, because I felt awful after getting both vaccine doses. I had a hard time finding a location through any formal channels, too. Everywhere that said they were offering appointments was (at least officially) booked for weeks. But I ended up just doing a walk-in at a supermarket's pharmacy and literally waited 4 minutes, even though their website said all appointments were booked for weeks just like everyone else!
But I did go in on a weekday, partly because I figured there'd be less walk-in traffic during regular working hours.
Hopefully there won't be a need for a fourth, although I've heard it will be mixed in with the flu vaccine in the future. I suspect it's going to be an annual thing, like flu shots. It's just too widespread at this point to expect it to go away. (Said the guy with no epidemeological training whatsoever...)

I was able to get a booster at a local CVS Pharmacy in early November, but that was before the current wave.
Speaking of which, this current wave has me baffled more than any time since this began.
There are lines and long waits for tests. So, here's my confusion. If you're vaccinated, and don't feel sick, why is the hell would one wait five or six hours for a test.
Possible exposure risk? If you've been anywhere around people, you've been exposed.
It seems we're moving backwards here, and it feels unnecessary to me.
