R.I.P. Rusty Young (2/23/46 - 4/14/21), founding member, guitarist (including steel guitarist), and vocalist of Poco. Rusty wrote and sang lead vocal on Poco's biggest hit, "Crazy Love", in 1979:

Award-winning music producer, engineer and mixer Al Schmitt reportedly died. He was 91. Of his credits, perhaps most interesting to those on this board is that he mixed Brian Wilson Reimagines Gershwin.

I love him and his voice is beautiful and I have been playing raindrops at the peak level of my stereo constantly for 2 days now.
In this song the lyrics are strange and not original, and I don't think all the chord changes are followed by the guitarist. I don't really hear him modulating up to F-sharp for example but I'm not quite sure.

Biz Markie, whose death had been incorrectly rumored a few weeks back, has now actually died at the age of 57. He is best known for his 1989 hit "Just a Friend" and for being one of the early, prominent artists to be sued for use of unauthorized samples, with the industry formalizing an approval process going forward.

R.I.P. Jerry Granelli (12/30/40 - 7/20/21), the drummer with the Vince Guaraldi Trio. Jerry played the drums for the holiday classic, A Charlie Brown Christmas.
