I was introduced to his music via Bisch Bosch (sp?) maybe 10 years ago. I have to admit I did very little listening beyond that. It was not appealing.

I'm not usually one for the RIPs, but as a point of interest for Minnesotans, Dylan fans and '60s blues-rock fans in general, I'll note the passing of Tony Glover of Koerner, Ray & Glover (and seen in the Dylan doc No Direction Home), who passed Wednesday.
Here he is with the Doors in Minneapolis in 1968.

R.I.P. Dave Bartholomew, legendary bandleader, songwriter, producer, arranger, and trumpeter who collaborated with Fats Domino on many of his hit records. He also wrote "My Ding-A-Ling" which was a hit for Chuck Berry. Dave Bartholomew was 100 years old.

R.I.P. Joao Gilberto (6/10/31 - 7/6/19), known as the Father Of Bossa Nova. Joao collaborated with Antonio Carlos Jobim and Stan Getz on "The Girl From Ipanema" featuring Joao's then wife, Astrud Gilberto on the vocal.

R.I.P. Larry "The Mole" Taylor, bassist for Canned Heat, who passed away on August 19, 2019 at the age of 77. Larry also recorded with The Monkees, John Mayall, and Tom Waits. The Mole perfected that great "head bop to the beat" action!

Eddie Money reportedly has died. Sad news. I'd recently read that he learned about his cancer last year, but couldn't get treatment due to his heart condition.
