We are so excited to welcome to our show Gary Griffin on Tuesday! Gary is a current member of the Brian Wilson Band. He has been involved in so much through the years including playing with the Beach Boys live and on records, he was part of Celebration, Jan and Dean, made appearances on Full House as a Ripper, and made an appearance in the movie Love and Mercy. He is a versatile musician and it will be great speaking with him about all his experiences throughout the years. We will be giving away a Love and Mercy Movie poster as well as a Bamboo Trading Company cd, to which Gary was a member. We will also have the Many Moods of Matt and live requests played by my brother Greg. Please join us Tuesday at 8 EST for what should be a great night!

Awesome guest. This is a really exciting show. I love that this is someone who can speak to the Beach Boys going back into the mid-late '70s, and on and off ever since. He would know and has worked with everyone in that universe since, what, '77?
I'd love to hear his comments on the Brian Wilson band members, and also on how that group compares and contrasts with the Beach Boys bands he had played with.

Took me a couple days to get to it, but I finally did just watch this. Good stuff from Gary Griffin: I loved the Brian stories late in the episode. OMG, both hilarious. Gary's impression of Brian looking at him to cover his vocal parts is spot on. And that story about not knowing Griffin's name (and then the punch line...), classic.
And Gary says Brian has been working with a vocal coach throughout the pandemic. That's interesting. I'll be curious to hear more evidence of the results as more shows are performed (and posted online).
