I'm going to borrow an idea from Pete Pardo's Sea of Tranquility YouTube Channel. He had a run of Dream Setlist shows. This could be any band, any era for a dream show. It could be an actual show or a fantasy one. Here's my first one.
Queen
In my fantasy world, Freddie Mercury did not get AIDS or die, and Queen never broke up. (However, the lyrical content of the Innuendo album still exists). Queen are still a touring act. And, thanks to the newfound popularity from Wayne's World, they will embark on their first US Tour since 1982 in the summer of 1993 (right when I was getting super into the band). Not only are they still on the Innuendo touring cycle, but they're also celebrating the 20th anniversaries of their first two albums. Now, this isn't 100% my ideal setlist, but a dream setlist that I think would've been featured in a circa 1993 Queen show. Extreme are the opening band, promoting III Sides to Every Story.
Procession (Taped Intro)
Headlong
Keep Yourself Alive
Tie Your Mother Down
I Want It All
(Freddie, clean shaven with short hair, wearing black track pants and a teal jacket, addresses the crowd. He intros the next song which hasn't been done live in years)
Ogre Battle
Killer Queen - Segue into March of the Black Queen snippet (Freddie on piano)
Innuendo
A Kind of Magic
Somebody to Love (Freddie on piano)
I'm in Love With My Car (Roger vocal, Freddie on piano)
Another One Bites the Dust
I'm Going Slightly Mad
Fat Bottom Girls
(Freddie addresses the crowd and introduces a song that will appear on a not to distant future Queen album)
Resurrection (Edit - IRL, it would appear on Brian's first solo album, I'd have loved to hear a Queen version)
Great King Rat
'39 (Brian vocal)
Love of My Life (Brian & Freddie with crowd)
These Are the Days of Our Lives
Under Pressure
Liar
Now I'm Here
Brighton Rock Solo
Hammer to Fall (Gary Cherone comes out to sing the second verse, Nuno on additional guitar)
Stone Cold Crazy
Radio Ga Ga
Crazy Little Thing Called Love (Freddie on guitar)
Bohemian Rhapsody (Freddie on piano for first two verses and coda)
(Band leaves the stage - crowd goes berserk - lighters come out for encore)
Encore:
I'm Down (Beatles cover)
The Show Must Go On
Seven Seas of Rhye (Freddie on piano)
We Will Rock You
We Are the Champions (Freddie on piano)
God Save the Queen (outro tape)
