Because this thread should exist, and to facilitate B.E.'s plan!

Or I can just post the "25% better" anecdote that never fails to crack me up every month or two... That and "there's 100% chance you'll find me in my chair."
If nothing else, Brian's (second) autobiography is hilarious.

As I mentioned in the thread on Mike's book, I found Brian's storytelling very enjoyable. I also thought that, for a guy whose been in the business for over half a century, I was hoping for a bit of a longer book. But, I suppose there are memories that either Brian doesn't wish to revisit, or details that he just doesn't remember.

IIRC, it kind of reads like you hung out with the guy for a weekend and this is what he shared. Hardly comprehensive, but enjoyable for what it is. (Or not. It's been a while.)

In some ways it really reminds me of Bob Dylan's fragmentary autobiography, "Chronicles." It's interesting in parts, funny in parts, illuminating in parts, yet maddening because some of the choices of what to cover (when you're not trying to cover everything) are befuddling.
"Chronicles" was billed as the first of several volumes, though some 15 years later we still have no follow-ups. "I Am Brian Wilson" wasn't even billed as such; instead it's just like one long night of listening to someone tell random stories as they occur to him.

Reminded of this one today. I had forgotten there were multiple laughs...and a little sadness, too.

Ah yes! That's the one he made 25% better. Hallelujah!

I own the book and have never finished it. Maybe when I’m retired? I started to fall asleep reading it.
