Oh Thursday's Child. I wanted to like that song so much. Didn't turn out that way. Oh well.
Taking jk's hint... Technically this may not qualify as a Friday song, maybe it's more of a Monday song?

All our musical tastes overlap around here but thank goodness they're not identical! Anything with Friday in the title is fine with me. And this is a super song. Thanks, bb.

I was trying to think of some Friday songs. The first one that popped to mind, I just can't suggest because I've pushed it about 500x by now! (Cotton Mather + Nicole Atkins' "Girl Friday") I could suggest the Cure's "Friday I'm In Love," but I never liked that song. Luckily I can move my mental energies to Saturday now...

There's always "Working For The Weekend" by Loverboy, and at the end of the day, there's "Friday Night" by Dennis Wilson.

So many Saturday songs! I don't have any big plans tonight, but this just popped into my head.

Saturday morning in the city...as I sing out of tune.

If someone wanted to slack and just cover the bulk of the week in a single song...
But then again, it being Saturday and those other days having been ably covered, we could just focus on a night out tonight with this great one:

Haha. Nope, just Saturday. This is a great one if you fancy putting the boot in: And this is a famous Dutch "Saturday Night": en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herman_Brood

I remember at the squat where I was living in 1972, the two lads in the other room would always start Sunday morning with... "Sunday Morning", followed by the rest of the album:

I was hopeful--and at least relatively confident--this one would be your Sunday choice. Not that there aren't others, but for my money this is the greatest Sunday song ever. And a darn good one regardless of the day-title!

Yes, "Sunday Morning" immediately came to mind, as did "Sweet Sunday Kinda Love" by The Beach Boys (and Spring!), and "Sunday Will Never Be The Same" by Spanky & Our Gang".
Oh, and this one:

It's one of my two or three favorite Stones songs. Love it. And I'm curious to see all the other "day" songs! (A little sad Prince's [or the Bangles' more popular rendition of] "Manic Monday" didn't take the cake for the first one, but such is life.) Now's your chance, Cap'n.

Monday, you’re not so bad...
(Nice unresolved suspension in the refrain.)
From one of Minnesota’s finest.

It's that time of week again...
How about Stevie Wonder's "Tuesday Heartbreak"?

I couldn't let the day pass without mentioning one of my favorite Moody Blues' songs - "Tuesday Afternoon".
