Sometimes when I amass list of bands or albums that I want to listen to but keep putting off, I’ll make myself an “album mishmash” playlist and then listen to it on shuffle during travel to and from work. It’s a nice way to get a taste of a bunch of things when I’m having trouble committing to one thing or I can't decide what I want to listen to.
My latest “great album mishmash” contains stuff by Badfinger, T.Rex, The Raspberries, The Jellyfish, a couple of Jayhawks albums I’ve been meaning to check out, that Chris Bell “I Am the Cosmos” album, and a bunch of stuff by Enuff Z’nuff. That last one might seem a little random, but I’m going to see them in Las Vegas at Christmas and I only know a limited number of their songs, so I thought I should get to know some more.
Anyway, I really like this one:

Some cool power pop in that mishmash!
As for Enuff Z'Nuff, very interesting choice, both of band and song! They had a little moderate success in their early years when glam metal was all the rage, but I didn't recognize that song you linked. Looking into it, I can see why: it's from the '00s! I didn't know they kept it going, but good for them. They were always more talented than some of the shallow bands of that era.

Yeah, I was also pleasantly surprised to find they still sounded that good in 2008. I'm enjoying most of what I've heard so far. But what I've heard from their 2018 album Diamond Boy... not good, unfortunately.

I am quite enjoying that album, the more I hear from it. Man Without a Heart and Can't Wait are both great songs.

I thought when I looked it up that it was '03, but I wasn't about to call you out! Plus, considering it was well over a decade past their peak popularity, I wasn't too concerned regardless: the point of it all stood.

I've been listening to Blackmore's Night on these fall nights. Not Winter Carols, I hope! It's too early for that. Although for some reason last year I remember getting into Christmas music way earlier than is healthy or normal.

This year? I've already listened to it 2-3 times. No particular reason other than the weather turned and I love that album! I'll wait 'til December before I start listening to all the rest.

I have a mix of Blackmore's Night songs on Spotify, but a lot of my favorites tend to come from The Village Lanterne and Fires at Midnight.

I'm forcing myself to wait until the second half of November before I bring out the Christmas tunes this year - Beach Boys or otherwise. I created an insane playlist last year in which the goal was to whittle it down to something manageable and very high quality for the future - but I just kept adding stuff to it, so I'm going to have to start that process all over again. No more adding, just cutting! (Yeah, right...)

Shortly I will starting a Christmas music thread and I look forward to your input!

I'm boycotting that thread! After all, otherwise I'll be a wet blanket. And nobody wants that.

But that sounds fun, definitely count me in!
