I remember seeing the best of album years ago and being disappointed that their biggest hit, Immigration Man, wasn't on it. Yeah, as their only top 40 hit, that's a headscratcher. Now, it was on their live album from a year earlier, but it should have been on both. (Don't worry, my playlist rectified the situation. )

Goodness--eighty years young (no pun intended). May he enjoy many more years!
My first encounter with Mr Crosby was on The Byrds' first hit in 1965:

I had a great time at the Graham Nash concert last night. I hadn’t seen him before. He said it was his first show in 2 years and that he was thrilled to be back. I’ll post a detailed review tonight. But, for now, let me reiterate...it was great!

But, for now, let me reiterate...it was great! Did he perform and Hollies songs? He did "Bus Stop" and "King Midas In Reverse" back-to-back pretty early in the show. He dedicated "Bus Stop" to Allan Clarke and mentioned being 9-10 songs into a new album in which he's collaborated with Allan on.

He performs with just two other musicians: guitarist Shane Fontayne and keyboardist Todd Caldwell. Todd is from Lubbock, Texas. That was mentioned by Graham twice, and so it was really nice to hear them singing Buddy Holly's "Everyday" together, around one mic, when they came back out for the encore. Graham mostly played acoustic guitar, but also some piano, a little harmonica, and I think he opted to just sing for two of the songs. It was an intimate performance, but Graham, Shane, and Todd really filled the room with sound! I didn't miss the drums for a second. The most impressive to me was "A Day In The Life". I couldn't believe it when I heard the initial chords, and although Graham sounded incredible singing the verses, all I was doing was anticipating the build-up...how were they gonna pull it off? Well, Shane did an incredible job on guitar. What a performance! And, outside of that, Graham sang the high part during the "dream sequence" extremely well.
I'm a big fan of his debut solo album, so I was pleased that he included a lot of it in the set. Especially, in light of what's going on in Eastern Europe, I was highly anticipating hearing him perform "Military Madness". Just about the first thing he did when he walked on stage was say that he changed up how he starts off his show due to what's going on. So, I didn't have to wait long, and he didn't disappoint. I was also pleased that he included "Find The Cost Of Freedom". I'm not familiar enough with his touring habits to know which songs might be new to the set or rare appearances. He mentioned "I Used To Be King" is his love song for Joni. I didn't know that was the love song. Not your typical ballad! Love the song, though. I was hoping he'd play it.
He played songs predominantly written by Stills ("Love The One You're With" and "4+20"), Neil ("Country Girl"), Joni ("A Case Of You" - which was written about him after their breakup!?), and another Beatles song ("Here Comes The Sun"). I wasn't expecting any of them...I didn't know what to expect!
Overall, it was really great. I only noticed him struggle with one sustained high note, perhaps two lines of lyrics, and, humorously, he ended "Taken At All" abruptly. I say "humorously" because after the final chord rang out...and as I was kinda wondering what happened...he walked up to the mic and said "yeah, so I fucked up. Shane just leaned over to me and said "We'll play the 2nd chorus tomorrow night!" Shane was cracking up and the crowd supported Graham with a loud applause.
"Cathedral" is such an inspired tune, isn't it? Great to hear that live. Man, for 80 years old I was really impressed by Graham. He's always had such a gifted voice and sang such challenging parts, and he can still do it!! (And I was glad I recognized almost all of the songs.)

Eek, I only just saw this (not paying attention as usual). That's news to me too! I agree, "IUTBAK" is utterly gorgeous, to say nothing of Garcia's pedal steel, particularly in the instrumental break... chills-down-the-spinesville.
