I can't think of anything sadder than this right now. Although "Broken Heart" may well have been recorded before Spiritualized frontman Jason Pierce's long-time girlfriend, band keyboardist Kate Radley, secretly married Richard Ashcroft of The Verve, it reflects his loss as keenly as anything else on the band's 1997 album Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space.
