We have some big backyards in the US - especially in the Midwest. I have an acre, so we have lots of room to enjoy the outdoors. I have a patio area with the fire pit and lights, the lower deck, where I have a fire pyramid and a dining table (the hot tub is on the far side) and an upper covered deck, where we have a grill, sofa, round table and a couple of chairs. If it gets hot, we have a ceiling fan to cool us off. We bought a projector, sound bar and the screen last year. I can hook up my iPhone and stream You Tube, Vudu, Netflix, and Hulu on it. It’s fun to have friends and family over to watch movies. When my husband goes to bed, I sometimes watch Beach Boys videos from You Tube on the screen. Thanks, good to read new things about U.S. The explanation you took time to write down is amazing. Here, get candy.🍫😎 Now, do you usually use skillet to cook foods? I read in the Internet many say "skillet" than "pan". But, is it really big difference? Don't you people use pan to cook dishes instead? Is "skillet" popular, whilst pan is being fad. It'd be interesting to discuss it with you. Curious.

The main difference between a skillet and a pan is the shape. Skillets have shorter sides that flare out and are used for frying food. Pans have straighter sides, are deeper and are used for searing meats and reducing sauces. You can fry in a pan or reduce a sauce in skillet, so they can be used interchangeably, but it’s easier to use them as intended.

It occurred to me this morning, this is the last weekend of summer.
Unofficially that might have already passed, between traditional markers like Labor Day (in the US), schools starting, and the start of football season. But officially speaking, Wednesday is the first day of autumn, meaning this is the last summer weekend we'll have.
My feelings about that ... it's fine. I like fall. Hopefully it's a long fall, not a quick trip into winter. (In Minnesota, you never know. It can be full-on winter well before Thanksgiving, or above freezing and no snow right through Christmas.) I just hope it stays warm enough to allow comfortable outdoor walks and patio-reading time as long as possible.

I've had this weekend on my radar for that very reason. I mentioned before that my vacation used to conclude on the final weekend of summer, so that felt like a nice climax to my favorite season. But, now, as a family man, the final couple weeks of summer feel more like an appendix or post credits scene. But, it's supposed to be around 84 and sunny tomorrow, so I'm going to see if I can find any more summer seasonal beers (if not, I'll settle on Land Shark or Modelo), fire up the Weber, and play my Spotify summer music one last time before fall comes. I'd do that on Sunday night, but I'm going to the Ravens game, and I'm really not much for sitting on the deck on weeknights, so Saturday marks the end for me of my favorite time of year. For the record, I like Fall, and by the end of September, I'll be ready for crisp weather when I break out the Halloween decorations.

I really can't talk smack. With our injury issues, I'm not very confident going into tomorrow night.
But, for now, its 5:00pm, I'm on the deck. The weather is 84 and sunny, low humidity. Ideal late summer weather. The Weber is lit. I've had a couple summer beers. I've got my Spotify Summer playlist going. This is it for Summer 2021.
I was toying with the idea of doing my summer send off Tuesday night, the last night of summer, but its going to be cooler and rainy. This feels right.
Apologies ahead of time if I post some really sappy stuff after about five more beers and some rum while I listen to Summer's Gone.

That's funny, I'm imagining a long soliloquy about the beauty of message board camaraderie and the symbolism of the Beach Boys harmonies to brotherhood and various nonsense, all capped off by an admission that you actually liked the disco HCTN all along but were too ashamed to admit it.

I won't go that far, but I do like eight tracks of SIP.

Now That is funny Kapitan! I think I’ll pour myself a margarita and see if I can join in! kds - Do enjoy your night tonight, and the game tomorrow! Still hot and humid here, and as you can probably tell, no powerwashing occurred today! My husband partied a bit too hard last night! Nice to have a day to chill though. Eight more days off to get stuff done.

KDS, I think that's farther. I'd agree!
Also, I had a few beers on the patio this afternoon chatting with a friend. She's gone now, but maybe if I have a few more, I can chime in with some of the sentimental drivel that would annoy me if I were sober! Maybe I'll even go so far as to say I really feel connected to Dennis Wilson music.

I dont think anything on SIP is a masterpiece or anything, but I can enjoy eight songs on the album as fluffy trop rock / pop stuff (despite pretty dreadful production) that's well sung.

I guess today will be the death throes of summer: a bizarre little burst of 90-degree temps, high humidity is in the forecast for just today before we settle back into the high 70s and stormy tonight-tomorrow, and then more typical low 70s and high 60s again.
I'm supposed to have lunch with my brother; maybe we'll have to find a place with a patio.

We had Mexican, and I had a couple of margaritas to go with it. Talk about summery.
