So, fans will get to pay top dollar to probably see each band run through an hour of greatest hits. Vince Neil will have the crowd sing half of Crue's songs.

From what I understand, Neil basically can’t sing anymore (and some would argue he never could). I’m a little surprised after Sixx made such a big deal about fake retirements, considering Mick Mars’s health, and Neil’s voice.
The other two I’m guessing will knock it out of the park, and stadiums are the perfect place for them.

I saw Crue a couple times on their 2005-06 reunion tour, and it was a great show. But, I also saw Vince solo at the M3 Festival in 2010, and he was dreadful. He actually left his band onstage for seven minutes during his 45 minute set while they ran through Black Sabbath's Heaven and Hell (Dio had just passed). When I saw Crue with Poison in 2011, Vince was OK at best. Nikki Sixx seems to go wherever the wind blows.

The hits are all I would want from a Def Leppard/Poison/Motley Crue triple bill, personally. Depending on the price of the ticket, I'd consider going. Def Leppard put on a great show when I saw them a couple years ago, and I'd happily see them again. I haven't seen Poison or Motley Crue. As long as expectations are kept in check, I'm sure it would be a fun night out.

I've seen Def Leppard and Crue each so full headline gigs, and I enjoyed those shows far more than when I've seen them on package tours. When I saw Def Leppard, they threw in a lot of deeper cuts from High N Dry. When I saw Crue, the entire first half of their set was only songs from the first two albums. I'm not as well versed with the Poison catalog, so their standard 12 song hits set is just fine with me.

I saw Def Leppard with Journey, and they (Def Leppard, although Journey as well) focused on the hits. They have so many, and it was a fantastic show. With Poison and Motley Crue, all I care about are the hits, but I'd love to see Def Leppard perform deeper cuts - guess I'll have a better chance of that if they ever tour on their own again.

I think that's fine if you're seeing an artist for the first time. But, having seen Def Leppard three times now, I really have no interest in watching them run through a predictable 10-12 song hits set. With the investment of time and money on concerts, I'm just not into paying to see something I've seen before.

In an amusing burst of synchronicity, I flew home to visit with my family for a few days, and just now while having morning coffee with my parents, my stepdad changed the radio station to the classic rock station and what immediately started playing but Poison’s Fallen Angel.

I was listening to an interview with Ric Browde, who produced Poison's debut album. He had virtually nothing good to say about the band. (I'd say the kindest things he said were that Rikki Rocket was a nice person, and that CC DeVille was [unlike the other three] competent as a musician.)
He talked about shenanigans related to their "songwriting," and gave some evidence. One such example is this, from a band called Easy Action, which featured future Europe guitarist Kee Marcello and future Shotgun Messiah singer Zinny J. It should be cued up, but if you have issues, go to about 1:06.
