I watched this analysis of "Something" last night. He compares part of the song to "Kokomo". Edit: If you're only interested in the "Kokomo" comparison, it's early in the video.

In a recent Reactions To The Classics video they ranked all 28 Beatles songs sung by George Harrison. I found their top 10 to be pretty interesting. So, I thought it might be fun to attempt my own. Anyone else? Reactions To The Classics Top 10: 1. While My Guitar Gently Weeps 2. Here Comes The Sun 3. Something 4. It's All Too Much 5. I Want To Tell You 6. Taxman 7. I Me Mine 8. Love You To 9. Long, Long, Long 10. Within You Without You B.E.'s Top 10: 1. Something 2. Taxman 3. I Need You 4. Long, Long, Long 5. While My Guitar Gently Weeps 6. Here Comes The Sun 7. If I Needed Someone 8. I Want To Tell You 9. Old Brown Shoe 10. Think For Yourself If I extended my list to 15 I think I'd find room for "Devil In Her Heart" and "Do You Want To Know A Secret". Neither of which were written by George.

Sure, I'll join in:
01 Something 02 While My Guitar Gently Weeps 03 Here Comes The Sun 04 I Need You 05 I'm Happy Just To Dance With You 06 If I Needed Someone 07 Old Brown Shoe 08 Long, Long, Long 09 Do You Want To Know A Secret 10 Everybody's Trying To Be My Baby
I didn't realize George sang 28 Beatles' songs. I'm not so sure about the order, especially the bottom 5, but I'm pretty sure about the songs. The only song on both of the above lists (yours and theirs) that I really take exception to is "Within You Without You". I actually dislike that song. Too long.

Yeah, 28, and those are just the studio recordings. He sang a bunch more live. Some of which have been released on the various BBC releases. I definitely agree with some of your choices! It's cool that you included quite a few songs that probably wouldn't be included on the majority of lists. You've also got two Lennon/McCartney songs in your top 10. I don't dislike "Within You Without You", but it's obviously nowhere near a favorite. It would probably fall somewhere in the 15-20 range (of 28).

I found that a little emotional watching those clips. It doesn't get much (any?) better than Abbey Road.

Quality-wise, it really doesn't get much better. A few thoughts: 1) You may remember the demo of "Something" from Anthology, but this version includes a piano. I've never heard that before. Pretty cool. 2) The instrumental/strings only of "Something" is fantastic! Of the videos released today, it was the last one I listened to but it had the biggest impact. I really enjoyed that. Surprisingly so. 3) I heard that the medley with "Her Majesty" restored to its original place is going to be included. That will be interesting. I'm not expecting it to work very well, but it'll be cool to hear. I vaguely remember hearing a fan edit at some point, but that's neither here nor there.

Abbey Road may not be my personal favorite Beatles album... And that would be? I came up with this about 6 months ago. I'm sticking with it. 1. The Beatles, 1968 2. Revolver, 1966 3. Rubber Soul, 1965 4. A Hard Day's Night, 1964 5. Abbey Road, 1969 6. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, 1967 7. Help!, 1965 8. Let It Be, 1970 9. Beatles For Sale, 1964 10. Please Please Me, 1963 11. With The Beatles, 1963 12. Magical Mystery Tour, 1967 13. Yellow Submarine, 1969

Yellow Submarine, 1969 A little surprised at the lower ranking of Please Please Me. "I Saw Her Standing There", "Boys", "Please Please Me", "Love Me Do", "Do You Want To Know A Secret", "There's A Place", and "Twist And Shout" - can't change your mind?
I'll give the ranking a shot, as of today:
01 Abbey Road 02 A Hard Day's Night 03 Help! 04 The Beatles 05 Let It Be (prefer Naked ) 06 Please Please Me 07 Rubber Soul 08 Revolver 09 Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band 10 Beatles For Sale 11 With The Beatles 12 Magical Mystery Tour 13 Yellow Submarine

A little surprised at the lower ranking of Please Please Me. "I Saw Her Standing There", "Boys", "Please Please Me", "Love Me Do", "Do You Want To Know A Secret", "There's A Place", and "Twist And Shout" - can't change your mind? Tempting. It really is. As its easily my most listened to Beatles album of 2019. Maybe if you led with "Baby It's You" and "Anna (Go To Him)"! I love those songs. It's funny, back in January on EHF, you had Sgt Pepper and Please Please Me flipped (#6 and #9), which was nearly identical with my ranking (#6 and #10). The reason I find that "funny" is because this is the one area of my list that I wasn't 100% confident with 6 months later. The reason? Well, you said it back in January - your affection for Sgt Pepper comes and goes. I feel the same way. It's strange, because when I do listen to it (which isn't nearly as often), I think nearly every song is great and enjoyable. Mostly, 9s and 10s!
