Led Zeppelin - Houses Of The Holy (released on Physical Graffiti)
Do you know of any other examples?

I saw this topic on another message board a few years ago...I don't recall the song, but there's a Neil Young song out there that fits this category. I'm not a big enough Neil fan to remember.

Good call. Man, I'm losing it. Just a few weeks ago, I made note of this. He didn't include "Journey Through The Past" on the soundtrack album of the same name. He included it on his subsequent album Time Fades Away. Good song. Edit: Apparently, he didn't include "Journey Through The Past" in the film either. Though, I've never seen it.

This one is a bit of a stretch, but the Jimmy Buffett song "Nautical Wheelers" includes the lyric "living and dying in 3/4 time." That lyric provided the title for Buffett's third album, but the song didn't appear until Buffett's fourth album, A1A.

Cheap Trick released the album Lap of Luxury in 1988; the next album, Busted, had a song titled You Drive, I'll Steer, with the lyric "i'm in the lap of luxury".

We forgot that the Beach Boys decided not to include "Good Timin'" on Good Timin': Live at Knebworth England 1980.
