I saw Al's tour last night in Annapolis, MD.
This was my second time seeing this show, as I saw it in the same venue last March.
The setlist was a little different - Luau, Santa Ana Winds, In My Room, and Surf's Up (Matt was great on this one!!) were added from last time. They also did a short snippet of Nowhere Man during the encore.
I'm impressed that a three piece group can do such good versions of songs like God Only Knows, Surf's Up, and Good Vibrations.
Al does tend to ramble a bit during his stories, and Jeffrey Ross and Matt sometimes have to reign him in. The audience also shouted some songs, almost to the point of it being somewhat distracting. At one point, a lady in the audience forcefully demanded a verse from Lady Lynda. Al just shrugged and said "maybe I can do Lady Mary Ann." One overzealous gentlemen jumped up and raised his hand to ask Al a question about the upright bass he was using for certain songs.
Al came out to greet the crowd after the show. I thanked him for keeping the promise he made in 2018 to come back and play Santa Ana Winds. I also suggested adding From There to Back Again, to which he replied "OH YEAH!!!"
All in all, a fun night.

He closes with Rhonda, and he also did Santa Ana Winds and Vegetables. When I saw him last year, Lookin' At Tomorrow was in the setlist. When he launched this tour last year, I was hoping for more deeper tracks or songs that Al sang on. But, I think he tries to balance hits and deeper tracks. Face value was $65 to sit about 15 feet from the stage and meet an original Beach Boy. Not bad. www.setlist.fm/setlist/al-jardine/2019/rams-head-on-stage-annapolis-md-439e7f93.html
