So boring. Just so, so boring.
Though I do enjoy one of the most-mocked songs on here, "Livin' With a Heartache" in a kind of Eddie Rabbit way.
I think that's about all I want to say.

I've written reviews of these albums on at least three forums, so forgive me here, but I'm going to completely take the piss in the review section here.
Keeping the Summer Alive exists, and there's not a goddamn thing we can do about it. The B from BTO couldn't save it. Another Chuck Berry cover couldn't save it.
But, hey, at least its not Imagine Dragons.

As I've been doing with our past few albums in the "best and worst songs" thread, I was going back through various books and articles on KTSA. There are a few things of interest in Nick Kent's early '80s article found in "Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys Reader: Back to the Beach," ed. Kingsley Abbott. The article is titled "Brian Wilson: High and Bri'" in the book, though the intro mentions that it also appears in a later NME magazine and in Kent's own book. I'm not sure if the titles vary. It comes late in the article, when in summer 1980, Kent finally gets to interview Brian Wilson (after talking to Carl Wilson and Jerry Schilling). After things clearly get off to an awkward-to-bad start (as Wilson interviews do...), Kent says: I really want to know what song they're talking about!
But also, this picture is insane when juxtaposed with Carl's quotes from that era, and even from his interview with Kent as published in that same article. Brian's so much better, he's much happier, he's really into the music again, he's really into being healthy...
