I'm curious what this photo shoot was intended for - if anything...

Perhaps a planned promo video for Girl Don't Tell Me.

I can't find an exact date but I think it's from early 1966. I wonder if these photos are from the same session, before (or after) they put on more clothing? But, where was Al?

Who will be the first to identify the person in this photo?

Mike and Bruce with the great Shirley Bassey. Shirley's one of the few artists still around - and still performing - who is older than the Beach Boys:
I couldn't resist posting this video of Shirley performing "Goldfinger" in 1974. It's one of my favorite videos and I post it whenever I can. Goldfingaaaaah!

who is it!? (Cute dog in the other room.) I figured you would be the first to identify the photo - based on the painting on the wall.

Was this it? The last time together? It'll be two years in July. Time waits for no one...

I hadn't been too optimistic about a reunion since the ending of C50, but I thought maybe, just maybe, getting the five of them in the same room might lead to something. But, 2020 schedules are already filling up, and it gets less likely with each passing year.

But, 2020 schedules are already filling up, and it gets less likely with each passing year. I did, too. Did I think it was a slam dunk? No. But, yeah, I thought that any healing that might've occurred with little reunion would've led to something. Actually, I thought that might've been one of the reasons for doing the Sirius thing in the first place. I thought it might've been a slow, strategic "plan" of getting the band back together. I guess I was too optimistic...again. And what did Jerry Schilling do to follow up on this mini-reunion?

All we got that summer was an hour long reunion, a three month Sirius station, and a somewhat creative way of reselling the Boys' greatest hits again with the RPO album.

Little has been written about this pairing. I wonder if they had any conversations about The Beach Boys, The Beatles, their own music, or music in general?
